This started as an quintessential 80s dry bar with heavy handles and a carved inlay. It was transformed into a modern piece with a bright finish and contemporary gold hardware.
This is one of my favorite refinishing jobs. You could barely see the inlay in the original photos and the beautiful flame mahogany drawers. I was concerned I would not be able to save the finish and was so happy to be able t to fully restore it with no painting involved.
This was a labor of love that took the desk down to the frame and rebuilt it. I was not able to save the original finish, due to extensive veneer damage and multiple prior poor repairs. But I think the black and red make a beautiful combination
